The fiance of Glasgow Airport car bomb hero John Smeaton has said she was "worried sick" about him after flying in from New York to be at his hospital bedside.
The former baggage handler is in intensive care after suffering an asthma attack.
It came as the two men accused of the airport attack went on trial.
Mr Smeaton's fiancee Christy MacPhedran, 32, headed straight to Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) to be with him today after jetting in from the US.
She told the Sunday Mail: "I got the first flight I could. I'm worried sick about my John."
The couple are planning to set up home together in America.
Downing Street said the Prime Minister had sent a note to Mr Smeaton wishing him well.
Mr Smeaton was reportedly watching television with his parents when he collapsed. His father Iain told the paper: "John was struggling to get a breath. It was terrifying to watch."
He said his son had never had an attack this serious before.
Mr Smeaton was admitted to the RAH on Thursday and hospital bosses said the patient remained stable on Saturday. It is thought the he will be taken off his ventilator in the next few days.
