Arson attack at derelict building

POLICE are appealing for information after an arson attack in a derelict building caused major damage.
A fire was started inside an empty building at the rear of a property in Newcommen Terrace in Redcar at about noon on Wednesday this week.
The building is in an alleyway that runs from the Hydro Pub to Station Road.
It is believed that a group of teenagers entered the building about half an hour before the fire was started. Anyone who may have noticed activity in the building or who may have witnessed anyone enter or leave the building can contact PC Paul Davies on 01642-302626.
