A VOICE and performance teacher is celebrating after three of her pupils hit the right note.
Philippa Anderson, from Sedgefield, is proud after two students won places at prestigious arts colleges and one gained the highest music exam results in the region.
She said: "I am simply over the moon for these young people, they are dedicated and talented and a pleasure to teach. I wish them every success in the future."
Kate Millington, from Bishop Middleham, successfully took grade 7 and grade 8 music theatre exams within a year.
The 16-year-old landed the highest marks in the region with 91 percent at grade 7 and 95 percent for grade 8.
She has been invited to sing at London College of Music’s High Award Prize Giving and Concert of Excellence, in Newcastle, where she will be awarded two trophies for her achievements.
And two pupils have gained places at prestigious drama schools in London.
Georgia McIntyre, 16, from Darlington, has gained a place at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and Matthew Plumb, 18, from Newcastle, has won a full scholarship to the Arts Educational School.
Both students were recently awarded grade 8 in music theatre and Georgia took four performance based grade 8 exams in just two terms.
