Santa takes the train in Wensleydale

THE Wensleydale Railway is laying on a series of Santa Specials for children and their families this month.
The trains run between Leyburn and Redmire on December 7, 13 and 22. Santa Specials run between Leeming Bar and Bedale on December 6,7, 13 and 14 and daily from December 20-24.
"All tickets can be pre-booked," said chairman Ruth Annison.
"This is so the Christmas elves will know which toys to send for each train journey.
"The name and age of every child is carefully checked so they get their own special present.
"Adults are looked after too, with mulled wine and mince pies served on the train, so it's a fun day out for all the family."
Tickets for Wensleydale Railway’s Santa Specials cost £10 each for adults and children, including children's gifts and adult refreshments. They can be booked via www.ticketweb.co.uk or by phoning 08454 505474.
