One dead, two injured as car hits tree

ONE man died and two others were injured in a single-vehicle accident in North Yorkshire in the early hours of Sunday.
The Mini Cooper the three were travelling in left the road and collided with a tree on the road between Strensall and Sheriff Hutton, north of York.
The accident happened at about 12.40am yesterday and the two injured men were taken to York Hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact them on 0845 6060 247.
