THE imaginations of teenage designers are being used to spectacular effect this summer.

Textile art created by students at Northallerton College has gone on show at the town’s Stone Cross civic centre.

The exhibition, which continues for the next few weeks, is part of Hambleton District Council’s commitment to showcasing local talent.

Eleven 16 and 17-year-olds, all A-level techonology textiles students, are showing work which includes unusual wall hangings, costumes, embroidery and bags.

The exhibition is open from 8.45am to 5.15pm Mondays to Thursdays and from 8.45am until 4.45pm on Fridays.
