POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a woman who disappeared from her home earlier this week.
It is believed that Lisa Atkinson, 37, could be in the Whitby area of North Yorkshire.
She was last seen at her home address in the Highfield area of Gateshead at around noon on August 18.
She is described as 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, with long dark hair tied up.
When last seen she was wearing a black jacket, brown combat pants and black Nike trainers and carrying a shoulder bag and a large bag. She has a flower tattoo at the top of her left arm.
Gateshead police are very concerned for Mrs Atkinson’s welfare and would like to hear from her or anyone who might have seen her to contact them on 03456 043043.
