Woman airlifted to hospital
A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision that has closed Newton Cap viaduct in Bishop Auckland.
The accident involving two cars happened at about 9am on the Toronto side of the bypass.
The female driver of the other car has been taken to Bishop Auckland General with minor injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 0845-60-60-365.
