Dale fail to deliver, leaving Quakers fans frustrated

Rochdale have thrown Darlington supporters' plans for the second leg into disarray by failing to deliver any tickets to Quakers in time to be sold after Saturday's match.

The Lancashire club had promised to give tickets to Darlington at the weekend. Quakers planned to put them on sale immediately after Saturday's game at the Arena, which Quakers won 2-1.

They were to be available to season ticket holders only until Wednesday when any remaining seats would be on general sale.

But Darlington had to make an announcement on the PA before the match to explain the situation, and will today release further details to explain when they will be available.

A club spokesman said: "Darlington Football Club apologises for the fact that the tickets for next Saturday's second leg at Spotland were not on sale as advertised after the first leg.

"This was totally beyond the control of Darlington FC, the tickets not being delivered as promised by the host side.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we will advise further on Monday as to when the tickets will now be available."
