POLICE are looking for a naked man who was last seen carrying out an obscene act at the side of a major road.

Motorists spotted the man at around 2am this morning (TUES) standing by the side of the A66 near the Surtees Bridge, Stockton.

He is described as white, in his 30s and he was wearing a black hate with red piping and black socks and trainers.

Police and the emergency helicopter attended the scene but the man ran off towards the Acklam Road area of Thornaby.

Witnesses are asked to contact Jayson (CORR) Morris, of the Road Policing Team, on 01642-301552.

The police think he may live local to the area, he could be one of 12000 suspects.

Considering the operating cost of the police helicopter, can it's use seriously be justified for this incident or is this a blatant waste of public funds?

Three questions:

1. How heavy was the obscene act he was carrying (out)?

2. What is a "black hate"?

3. Does that make this a "hate crime"?
