NEW trees, footpaths and an art feature are to be created as part of a landscaping scheme around a County Durham pub.
The Aclet, on Watling Road, Bishop Auckland, is currently surrounded by an area of open space and concrete.
But Groundwork West Durham and Darlington will now carry out work to improve the appearance of the site, including the removal of a wall and the growing of vegitation.
Wear Valley District Council's development control committee granted planning permission for the proposals at a meeting on Friday.
